Well, hello. Hmmm... only two comments for that last post? Terrible! Well, anyway, read and enjoy (well, read anyway)...
Tuesday 5th. Well, it started off with Vin and i walking to school, which always helps at these times. Lots of complaining and thoughts of running away... Well, we got to A Block (A Block?! Argh) and met with everyone, before going into our new form room. Urgh. A2? Whyyyy? Well, we got seated in alphabetical order, which means i'm next to Rose and Tom! Yay. Ash is next to Rose, Ellis is in front, and Lucy, Sophie and Kirsty are behind. The only problem is that Vin's half a classroom away, and that i'm right in the line of Miss Majid's evil stare. Yeah, did i mention that btw? We have Miss Majid as a form tutor... MISS MAJID. Can you imagine how much lecturing we had to go through? She, much like Mrs Morris, seems to enjoy the sound of her own voice, and doesn't mind what lengths she has to go to, or what completely pointless things she has to come out with, to hear it. So she went on for ages about why we have to behave, and why we musn't not behave, and how strict she's going to be if behaviour becomes an issue. And then she went on about being late for a very long time. We have to be in on the bell. We can't be a second late. We can't come in on the bell. We shouldn't get in the habit of being late as it's something that's important later on in life, especially when you get to like the particular job you're in and don't feel like getting fired. About half an hour later Mr Wilding walks in, complaining that Miss Majid was late for assembly! Ha! It made me laugh. Well, yes, then we had to hurry into assembly - i always hate being one of the last ones in. I managed to completely lose my balance at one point and almost embarassingly fall to floor, although a chair managed to get in the way of me making a fool out of myself in front of the whole year. Thank you. Well, then it was the long assembly that we usually have at the beginning of each year. I felt pretty bored, and started playing with my hair (i do that when i'm either bored or nervous, just to let you in on a little secret of mine) which was when i realised that i had significantly less of it that i thought. Very short, it is now (haha, did that sound like Yoda to anyone else? I think it's just all in my head... Ha! Maybe i should do a whole post writing like Yoda talks. That'd be funny...). Anyway, the assembly eventually ended, at which point we headed back to the form room, to continue with all the writing and listening to Miss Majid talk etc. Great fun. Then it was break. We saw everyone. I gave Nikki her amazing pirate card (oooh, Johnny Depp) and present :D, and then found that she isn't actually in any of my classes :(. How. Unfair. Well, then it was science. First lesson of year 10. Science. Wow. First of all we had this massive meeting where everyone who was having science at that time was crammed into a room and was expected to see past a million heads to a spreadsheet on the electronic whiteboard with the font size at about 10. Yeah. Right. As well as not being able to breathe or see, no-one could really hear either, so the whole thing was a bit pointless. Hehe. Well, then it was the actual lesson. We have Mr Gosal. I sit next to Vin and Jess. And it was quite easy, to be honest. Next was french. Class is alright. I'm sitting next to Vin. Not too sure whether having Mrs Williams for yet another year is really a good thing though, but we'll see... It could have been worse, i guess (yeah, you know who i'm thinking of). Well, then it was lunch. A lot of catching up (and evilness, unfortunately :(, i hate it when people fall out...). Well, then Henry came over and i hung with him for ages :D :D :D. Yay. And then Harry came over and decided to kick grass at everyone. Thanks for that. Well, then i found out some bad news that i could have expected anyway. But, ok, if you're annoyed at someone, don't you say it to their face? Well, i would anyway... Well, we walked down to A block once more and prepared ourselves for the torture that was to follow. Or "form time" as many of you more luckier people may call it. It wasn't actually too bad, i got to talk to Rose loads, which always makes me feel better. Last was science... again. Double science on the first day? You are kidding. Well, it was alright. I sat next to Vin again :D. Then was walking home which was ok... And then, finally, the first day (which i have been worrying about for weeks... well, ok, maybe just days) was over. But the one thing that i hate about the first day is, when it's over, you think "phew, i'm glad i got that over with, it wasn't that bad, was it?", only to go to sleep, wake up the next morning and realise that you have to get through 3 more days just like it this week. Oh, great.
Wednesday 6th. Oooh. Second day. First was french. We had Mr Summers (sorry Sophie, hehe). It was pretty uneventful. I sat next to Vin and Jen and Vin and i just talked about lost. Argh, how confusing it is. Then english. We have Miss Johnson. Oh yes. The best english teacher ever (apart from Mr Allford, but ah well...). Well, she just explained what we're going to be doing etc for most of the lesson, and then we looked at this pic of a woman ironing... It was called, quite creatively "woman ironing" (or something a long the lines of that...). Hmmm... Well, it was good. Vin's poem was very cool. After break it was media studies! First lesson, arggh! Well, Sophie, Ash and Rose are all in my class, which is amazing. Or was amazing, until i got moved away from them all to sit next to someone with the same name as me... How confusing will that be? Well, she's nice, and so is Sandeep who is sitting next to her :D. The lesson was so eerily quiet though, and hardly anyone put their hand up for the whole lesson... It was so weird! After that i went outside to wait for Jess, although she never turned up... So i went over to science, being about 5 minutes late, only to find that everyone's already in there, and Tom had taken the seat Vin was saving for me. Urgh, how annoying was that? So i had to sit on the front, right in the middle of a row of "popular" girls. Argh. Nightmare. Ok, it wasn't that bad really. Some of them annoy me though (not saying who :D). Well, then Mr Cunnigham (the rumours about him are true, i think he is a pretty good teacher... atm) was testing Bess's reflexes by sitting her behind this plastic thing (yeah, yeah, i cannot remember the name for it yet again. I keep doing that...) and throwing these corks at her very quickly and very dramatically to see how she'd react. And, of course, since i was on the front row, they all bounced back and hit me. Haha. Well, then he carried on talking for a while about all the scientific reasons for all of it, and Jo next to me was checking her hair in the plastic thing the whole time. So funny. Well, after that, he picked random people to surprise (by throwing a cork at them), and one of them just had to be me, didn't it? Well, all i did was sort of stare at him. I didn't move... i think i probably did blink, but that was about it. Haha, i have the worst reflexes in the world. I think he was expecting me to catch it... No. Way. Well, the lesson continued and we tested our knee reflexes, which is always funny. But mine wouldn't work! Arggh. Well, then it was lunch. We sat around in the corner near E block for ages and i caught up with everyone who i didn't catch up with yesterday :). Less evilness today, as well. Yay. After that it was PSHE. I found at that i have Emily and Vicky (phew, i actually know someone in my class...) and so i sat with them. We managed to get seats right at the front (oh no. If you've had Mr Jenkin before, you'll know why sitting at the front is not a good idea). He started talking randomly about everything we'll we doing, and of course he had to mention sex education. Of course. He started saying that we shouldn't giggle at those sorts of things, as "it is a serious subject, and there's nothing to giggle about... Although sex can be quite funny..." after saying that he then sort of trailed off and stared into the distance. Eww. Right. Well, then we did this weird island, moral decision things. Hmm.... interesting.
Thursday 7th. Finally found some black socks to wear, and she didn't even check them! Hmph!! Well, first was maths. We had a seating plan and i was put next to Katie and Amy! Ha, and most other people had to sit boy-girl! Oh yes. Well, it was quite a strange lesson... everyone was really quiet. It was almost scary. Oh, and we got our targets. Mine was A*.7. Yeah right. Next was ICT, and since i had to walk there from D block, i was 5 minutes late!! Argh, i hate it when that happens. Absolutely everyone stares at you and you end up sitting next to someone you either don't know or don't like. But we got a seating plan anyway, so that was ok! I'm next to Sandeep and next Suki :D. Then he just explained what we were doing... Yeah, slightly boring... He then made us write what we're good at and what we're bad at and what we're hoping to get from ICT this year. I realised that the list of things that i'm bad at is much longer than the list of things i'm good at... i guess that's a good place to start - a lot of room for improvement! Well, after that it was our recycling meeting, and Sophie's doing it this week :D. Everyone started talking about spots etc. Ewww. Well, then i walked around with everyone for a bit longer. Hehe. Then it was media studies, again. And i got to work with Sophie. Oh yes. It was funny - haha, Sophie trying to move her chair at the computer. Yeah, i think you might just have had to be there. Next lesson was science... again. It was ok, seating near to slightly annoying people though... Well, then it was lunch. Yay. It had to be the best lunch this week. See, nothing's changed! Thursday is still the best day! Well, we walked round school for absolutely ages and i messed round with Niki and tickled Ellis a lot (aww). We then went back up to L block and i talked to Michael (haha, he makes me laugh... but scares me at the same time), and then went with Sophie and Niki to investigate who Rose was spying on. Hmmm... So we stayed down there for ages, and more people came, including Ellis and Henry :D. After that, and after 20 more mins with Miss Majid, it was PE. Arggh, noooo. Well, i found out that Ash is actually in my class! Yay. And Rose!! The only bad thing is that we have to be with the boys... Well, we got the long speech on what we're going to do this year, and Miss Poulton explained this award scheme thingy where you teach little kids to play sports. So Ash and i just had to do that! Haha, it'll be soo funny. After more was explained about that, in more detail, we got to choose to do whatever we wanted. We had a choice between football (with loads of guys, outside...) or gymnastics. Yeah, it wasn't that much of a hard choice to make. So all we did for the remainder of the lesson was jump on ropes, swing on ropes and try to clim ropes. So funny. But i was soo bad at it! And that was my day.
Friday 8th. Argggh. First was science, and Vin was telling me who's in her classes. Haha. Lol, that Belgian trip's going to be good! Can't believe i'll miss it, but braving a whole year of history just for that... No, i don't think so! Well, the lesson was pretty boring. Waves... and stuff. Next it was my first art lesson of the year!Art's just has to be the most amazing subject ever. It's not about facts and figures and getting stuff right or wrong, it's about being you and doing what you want to do. You have so much freedom it's incredible. And it's the one lesson i can think of where i'm not finding something interesting on the wall to stare at, or trying to make it look like i'm actually listening. Yeah, i couldn't wait for art. No regrets there :D! Well, i'm with Leanna and Tom, which is pretty cool! I sat on a table with them and we just did brainstorms etc on ourselves. I think i already have an idea what i'm going to do for my final piece :D. After break it was PSHE. I sat with Emily and Vicky, who are rather cool, and Mr Jenkins stood right in front of us (yeah, we had to end up on the front row yet again, didn't we?) and talked for pretty much the whole lesson, which was only interrupted by the TV strangely popping twice (which i'm pretty sure it shouldn't do...) and someone finally waking up and asking "Sir, are we going to watch the video yet?". Yep, so we watched the video, which he talked most of the way through that also. Oh well. I then walked over to D7 with Emily and Vicky, and got a pc next to Vin (which ended up not working, urgh). Well, next it was lunch. Oooh. We sat on B block for ages (Sophie, Kirsty, Lucy, Ash and i) and got squashed by the boys who were trying to reclaim their territory, which eventually worked. So we walked around the school for ages, messing about etc (Haha, Ash thought i'd be good in "Beauty and the Beast") until we ended up on the hill, where something annoyed me slightly. Hmph. But yay, the year 7s in my form remember me! Then i walked with Sophie to the form room, stroking people's faces, and freaking people out quite a lot, on the way. Last was media studies. Wow. We spent a whole lesson looking at magazine covers! I am sooo going to love media this year. Best. Lesson. Ever. Well, after Rose describing Captain Jack Sparrow (oooh, Johnny Depp) as "piratey", hehe, and Alex saying something about how someone being shot out of a cannon would be good for a women's magazine (what on earth?), the lesson ended and we headed down to reception. Everyone was there apart from Kirsty, so, since Sophie remembered her saying something about meeting at the steps, we ran down there (rather dramatically, i might add) to bring her back, and so i could see a certain someone. Haha, awww. Well, we got there, and she said she wasn't coming. Hmph. So we ran all that way for nothing! Well, maybe not nothing... Haha, i really should stop with this hint dropping, but it makes me laugh. And no-one knows what i'm talking about! Well, anyway, then someone said something about it being National Kissing Day (i'm pretty sure it's already been National Kissing Day at least once this year), so Elliot went round kissing everyone (well, almost everyone...), and i'm pretty sure Sophie kissed Rose... Hmmm... Well, after more hugs :D, and Sophie making Henry and i hold hads for like one second, we left again, and decided (for some strange reason) that holding hands and skipping back to reception would be the best thing to do, and wouldn't be embarassing at all. Hmmm... So then it was recycling, which consisted of a lot of complaining (haha, doesn't it always?), teachers being freakishly nice to us, getting a paper cut (ouch), and lugging around a lot of bags full of paper (which mostly decided to be annoying and rip at precisely the worst moment). Fun!
Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th... Well, i watched some TV. I think i went to town. And i probably did some homework at some point also...
Monday 11th. Started out the day being in a pretty good mood. I'd got a text that made me think my worries of Saturday would all be over. I was so wrong. Anyway, first was french. Yeah, i think i complained most of the way through that. We were doing the alphabet (yay...) and i always get my "j"s and "g"s mixed up, and also my "u"s, "i"s and "e"s. Urgh, so confusing. Well, then it was science. Better, definitely better. We were learning about reflexes again. Didn't get anything thrown at me this lesson, which is always good :D. Haha, and then at the end he gave us a long speech about how our one purpose in year 10 and 11 is to beat Mr Gosal, and do better in biology than chemistry. Hahaha. Well, then it was break, where Sophie and i prodded each other's faces, and i just talked to pretty much everyone (except one person. Hmph). Well, then it was double art :D:D. A whole two hours to forget my problems. Oh yes. We drew ourselves when we were younger, and then moved onto drawing our own hands which, as well as being extremely difficult, was slightly uncomfortable. And i just had to go and sit on a table with Tom, didn't i? He has to be one of the most amazing artists in the year, and he sits on my table... Hmmm... Well, we got our two targets, mine were A/B and A, which was the same as what Tom got, so i was pretty pleased with that :D. Well, then it was lunch. I walked down to A block with Leanna and Emily, who i haven't talked to for ages, which was cool. I then met up with everyone, complained about back pain (sitting on a stool for two hours straight really isn't a good idea), talked about the amazing Media Studies, and then went over to C block where we hung with Mrs Johnson. Oh, how we all miss her... So we complained about Miss Majid, and filled Mrs Johnson in on everything that'd happened... And then Rose, Sophie and i started talking about dentists and needles and then food tech. Very funny. They cheered me up :D (thank you). Well, that wasn't going to last for long, was it? I went over to the hill with Ash, Lucy, Sophie, Kirsty, Ellis and Niki and we hung out there for ages, which was soo funny (until someone kindly pointed something out to me and my troubles of saturday came rushing back. Great. Great. Great.). Well, then Niki needed advice on some stuff (and i actually needed some advice of my own...) so i went over and talked to her until the end lunch, where i went back down to the form room with Sophie, disappointed and annoyed. Why. On. Earth? Well, last was maths. Not a great way to make you feel better. I just did work all lesson, and tried to avoid thinking about anything, although i couldn't really... Well, then it was walking home. I had a nice long chat with Rose (:D), until we met up with Sophie and Kirsty and everyone showed each other their cheesey potato bakes. Ewwww. Well, then we walked on, and Sophie and i walked faster to catch up to this guy she likes (nice jacket...). Well, i then walked with Elliot, Rose and Kirsty (our girly talk, haha, hmmm...) and Sam for a while, until... yeah... some stuff happened. Good, i guess. Didn't cheer me up though. So i went home early, even though i could have stayed... In the evening i just did homework (why are we getting so much :-o?), and looked at people's blogs etc, then became even more annoyed at a certain something. I mean, you have to be kidding... But you're not, are you? Urggh.
Tuesday 12th. Oooh. First was english. For some reason i don't really look forward to english any more. I really have no idea why. We have the best teacher ever. There's no-one in the class that i particularly dislike... Ok, ok, there's hardly anyone in that class that i particularly dislike. So what's the problem? Not a clue. And when she said that she was going to pick on people to read out their homework, my heart sank even further. I'm ok with answering questions. Hey, i may even put my hand up at some point this year. It's just reading out my own work that i can't stand. It always sounds so rubbish when i read it aloud, and it's like you're almost showing everyone a part of you: a part that maybe you don't want them to see. Yes, it's just all my insecurities yet again holding me back. Being a teenager really does have its down side. There is, when you look at it logically (as you people out there who are lucky enough not to get nervous/ worried at the smallest things), absolutely nothing to be scared of. What's the worst that could happen? Well, you get laughed at. People think your work's rubbish. So i guess it's all down to other people's opinions then. I guess you have to stop caring so much what everyone else thinks of you. So hard. I will have to work on that. Anyway, yes, she eventually gave up. It seems that no-one was too keen on reading theirs out. Ah, well, at least i'm not alone there. So she did this thing where she got us to pass round our books and read everyone else's instead. It was so much better. You don't have to see people's reactions if you don't want to :D, and you don't personally have to read it to anyone. Well, after that she asked us what we thought of other people's (without mentioning names, if we didn't have to). She picked on me first, which, to be honest, i was actually ok with. I sort of had no idea what i was saying, but i just went along with it... Well, next we looked at the poems we did last year. Interpreting poems is almost as hard as writing them. Urgh. Well, we did that for a while. It was pretty good. And then she suddenly said that she thought it'd be a good idea if we did presentations. What?! Well, we'll be doing them in a group, so i guess it's not that bad... :). Yeah, you can tell that i'm trying so hard to be optimistic, can't you? Hmmm... After that was ICT. For the second time in two weeks i had to practically run down to B block in fear of being late. And i was. But, luckily, most of the rest of the class were to. So he complained about how we were all 8 minutes late. He times 8 by 5 to show that we'd be losing 40 minutes every two weeks if this continued. He said we should know the quickest ways around the school by now. Yeah. I think he probably wasted more time telling us off than we did getting to the lesson in the first place. Well, after that he wrote down what the system development life cycle is, and left the rest of the work to us. We just took notes for absolutely ages. And, as well as it being extremely hard to find anywhere to write at the desks in B7 (i ended up leaning awkwardly on my book...), i tend to completely turn off while writing notes (i don't know how it's possible, but i do), so i probably didn't actually learn anything at all. And he played classical music all lesson. Haha. Well, then it was break. I caught up with Nikki, since i unfortunately have not seen her (or Emily, for that matter) for ages. Terrible. Then we went and hung out with everyone, and stared enviously at Kirsty's art work, and Henry came over and we held hands :D :D :D :D. Awww. Well, yes, that was until he was dragged away by Tom Willmott. Hmph. Well, then it was maths. Very boring. Very easy. Then media. All we did was analyse our results, and then share our findings with the rest of that class. Haha, Rose "consumes" the most media :D. Well, then i just talked to Sophie for ages, which was always cool, and we all (Rose, Ash, Sophie and i) walked, linking arms, down to the form room. Yay. Well, Mrs Johnson was there again. We stood around for a while, and i was very disgusted at Sophie and Kirsty's cheesestrings. Urgh, they taste of plastic. We then all went up to the hill. Yay. And Ash found this daddy-long-legs and decided to play with it, name it Jenny, and save its life by pouring water on it. Hmm... Well, then Ellis came, and casually threw her bag into the centre of the circle. This was quickly followed by screams of "Nooooo, Jennnyyyyy!!!!". Haha, she'd only just missed it. So funny though. Ahh. Well, then we played duck duck goose. Haha, i actually forgot how you play it. Well, yes, then Ellis was just on for ages because everyone completely cheated (Kirsty ended up chasing Ellis all over the hill, lol - so funny to watch), so we decided to change games. Ash came up with this "test your reflexes game" where we had to each put a finger on her, and she'd have to close her eyes, and when she shouted "Now", we had to pull our hands back quickly. If she managed to grab us, we'd be on also. Hehe. After that we did the thing where you sit back-to-back and link arms with someone and try to stand up. Always hilarious. Ellis and i finally managed it (we beat Ash and Lucy), and straight afterwards i completely lost my balance and feel over and banged my head :(. It still hurts now. Well, yeah, at least we managed it :D. After that i went with Sophie to her locker, where we talked about singing dinosaur films and disney movies. Oooh. Are there actually any Disney cartoons that do not have, at one point, a "musical number"? Haha. After form time is was PSHE. I sat next to Lauren (who has the same pencil case as me :-o), and we were forced to watch this very strange, and very disturbing, video on how a child develops, and then is born... Ewwww. You could so tell everyone was just too freaked out to pay attention. Well, then it was walking home :D. Redd called me as we were walking up, so we waited for him. Then Sophie and Kirsty walked off, and, when Redd did come over to us, so did he. And then so did Rose and Eliot. So it was just Henry and me the whole way home :D :D. Amazing. Yes. And he walked me all the way down to the shop near my house! Haha, i really need to stop smiling right now...
Wednesday 13th. First was english. Everyone got into groups to start planning their presentations. Vin and i went with Maya and Catherine. They seem pretty cool! We sat on a table with Amy and Becky etc. You can imagine how much work we actually got done. After that it was ICT again. We had to be quick (because i didn't want to be late, and also because Vin wanted to see a certain someone). Phew. Well, i made it. The lesson was extremely boring though. And that's all i actually remember... That's not good, is it?
Thursday 14th. Wow. Well, erm... science first. Yet again. It was chemistry, so we were learning more about atoms and chemical equations. Yay... Well, he was trying to teach us how we work out how many of each type of atom there is in each equation, but instead went on about atoms having "arms" for about half an hour and managed to confuse pretty much everyone, including, probably, himself. He seems to think we're all geniuses. Well, we're not. He also seems to think it's a good idea to teach us A Level work, when we don't even get the GCSE work to begin with. Argh, he expects too much from us. Well, after another half an hour of falling asleep (although that probably had more to do with me getting no sleep last night thanks to my on-coming cold rather than the boringness of the lesson) and then finally getting what he was talking about, only by the method of completely drowning him out and thinking about what he was writing logically(actually listening to the teacher just confuses matters), it was time for maths. Urgh. The one morning where i could really do with something simple like media or art and i get maths and chemistry. Typical. Well, we were doing a test. Even more typical. And it was very confusing and annoying, and all about standard form (i was obviously very wrong to say that it was easy). Well, i ended getting 14 and a half out of 17, which i guess wasn't too bad. The biggest mistake i made was when i simply didn't read the question and divided a number by 60 for no apparent reason... You could so tell i was not paying attention. Well, the highest was 16 anyway, and i don't think i even need to write who got that. Hmph. And then it was break. We were hanging in the toilets for ages (not by choice, i assure you) since everyone had to take turns to carry my extremely inconvenient art folder. Well, it was quite entertaining. People were running out of toilets screaming, causing mass panic and, generally, chaos. Funny to watch. Those annoying daddy-long-legs are very annoying indeed and appear in the most unexpected of places. Urgh. Well, then we went up to L block, and just messed around for ages. Next was art :D. Finally, a lesson i can enjoy. And we were drawing/eating chocolate bars. Now you're talking. Haha, but it was such tortue to sit, for about 50 minutes, and just stare at every little detail of your favourite chocolate bar. Complete torture. Ooh, so i drew it, which was pretty hard but i was quite happy with it in the end, and then ate it... Mmmmm. Next - French. Mrs Williams going on about nothing for an hour, and shaking her head a lot in anger, and most of our class messing about simply because she does nothing about it. Well, ok, she did move Vishal to sit next to Vin rather than his friends. But isn't that more of a punishment for us than him?!! The smeellll!!! How are we meant to concentrate? So, then it was lunch, and Vin and i contemplated on our many theories as to how he manages to smell that bad. It's so bad it's almost impossible. I then met up with Sophie, Ellis and Kisty in the form room and we walked around school. Sophie and i demonstrated our amazing power once more by making Ellis do anything we want :D. It was so fun. Oooh, and just to add two notes in here. 1) Ellis's braces suit her so much and look very cool indeed! She has such as nice smile... and 2) Didn't Kirsty's hair just look amazing today? Urgh, she doesn't realise it, but she is so lucky... Ok, continuing... Well, then Sophie and i went a little weird and started stroking the air particles (you might just want to not ask), and then playing tennis/badminton/golf with them, sound effects included. We then saw Tasha, Niki and two of the girls from my form :D:D. I'm just going to call it my form from now on, since that sounds soo good :D. Well, they were very nice, although probably slightly freaked out since Sophie was hugging me and saying how much she loved my hair. I then talked to Tasha about Russel Brand. He better not changed his style!! Haha, and then Sophie and i stole Ellis's bottle. Hilarious. She was chasing us all over the place while we were throwing it to each other and passing it behind each other's backs. Good team work there :D. Haha. Well, she eventually got it, and we went up onto B block where we stood with Henry :D, Suki, Lucy and Ash under their umbrellas, although it didn't exactly help. By now we were all soaked (it had started raining, quite unexpectedly, only a few minutes before), and everyone was flicking water off their umbrellas at everyone anyway. We were eventually shouted at and told to go inside, but, once seeing our wet room and coming instantly to the conclusion that running around outside would be much more fun, however wet we got, we left B block and started on our journey around the school. First, top playground. There were loads of people just running about - all in the same direction (away from the teachers). Next, we ran down to D block and considered running down under the huge waterfall to get as wet as possible, but there were yet more teachers (urgh, they were everywhere) so we were forced instead to go inside. After walking around a bit in D block and deciding for a while on our best plan of action, we took the C block route back to A block. On the way we found that people were getting sent home for running in corridors/being too wet (oops), and we were also stopped by Mrs Hancock. Always an unpleasant experience. Well, she pulled Henry's hand away from mine and held it instead, while saying "there's a time and a place, and this isn't it...". I was just like "urgh, get off my bf". Hmph. She's so evil. Well, we finally got away, started holding hands again, and then went down to B block where it was completely flooded. They then had the idea to ring the bells early, hoping we wouldn't realise that form time was supposed to start in 15 mins, not now. We did realise it though, and got very annoyed about it too. So the guys just spent the rest of the lunch they had skidding across the floor in the form room. Tom was skidding across the floor and Harry held his fist out and Tom skidded straight into it though. Absolutely hilarious. Well, then it was assembly. A lot of people complaining about wetness etc. Then last was english. More planning... yay. Walking home was uneventful.
Friday 15th. Oh, you have to be kidding. Triple science. ICT. PE. All in one day. Well, this is going to be fun... First was PE. All the boys managed to escape from our class the instant they found out that it wasn't going to be less work than normal PE lessons. Honestly. So that meant that Ash and i had to get split up. Of course it did. We should have known this was going to happen. Well, i went with Bess and everyone. Yay... So we went up to the top field and played kid's games. And it was actually pretty fun. Everyone was just really complaining about the daddy long legs etc anyway, and not much physical skill was actually needed. Phew. Well, after that was the dreaded triple science, which was weirdly fun. I can't really remember lunch, and after that was IT (in which Mr Downward talked to us for about half the lesson, and then, for the rest of the lesson, we did no work).
The weekend. I did homework. And i watched Dreamcatcher. It's a film that my parents have been constantly recommending to me for months now, so i decided to finally give in and just watch it. I was expecting the scariest thing i've ever seen. But it was a pretty good film, and i wasn't scared once... Hmph. And Earl was in it. Hehe.
Monday 18th. Ooosh. So the week starts with double science. Not good. Not good at all. Well, at least it was biology to begin with which, i must say, is the best one. Just because mr Cunningham is by far the best teacher out of the three we have. Well, it started by us having to draw this demented spider diagram where you had to write along all of the "legs" of the diagram connecting each word to the next. Urggh. So i was writing loads about what you need to regulate and why, and how it all works, until i realised that all you were meant to write was "obtained by..." or "regulated by...", or something along the lines of that, and it was meant to only take us like five minutes. Hmph, trust me to make it more complicated. Well, we next moved onto doing questions, and Vin and i were laughing randomly at pretty much anything. Lessons like that are always fun. And we found out that Amy's now going out with a 16 year old :-o. Well, there you go. Next lesson was physics. Second best, or second worst (depending on how you want to look at it...), of all the sciences. Despite popular belief, i really do think that chemistry is harder than physics. That may have more to do with Mr Gosal than the atual subject though... Well, we continued with our presentations/sheets on our given waves (ours being radio waves). So i was working with Chris and Bess (no idea where Richard was...), and we had to re-do ours a million times because Bess "didn't understand" and "didn't think that Mr Lill could be more annoying", simply because he said it didn't look like she was a part of group. Maybe that had something to do with her being half way on the other side of the classroom (slight exaggeration...), and not paying attention to anything anyone said. Just maybe. Well, i eventually seized control of the mouse, and i guess it ended up ok. We were the first group to finish. I guess that means that ours will probably be the worst one in the class. Ah well. So i did questions (i really couldn't be bothered by this point) and Vin, Jess and i talked about dreams, which was really funny. Next was break. Sophie and Ellis dragged me off to the toilets, where we talked about the events of the weekend (always interesting...), got pretty freaked out by daddy-long-legs (which no toilet-trip would be the same without), and laughed at all the yr7s. They think they get too much homework! Ha! Well, then, after everyone staring at my art folder for a while, it was time for art. Yay. Well, yes, Leanna was away so i was on a table just with Tom... I was so into drawing my piggy bank :D though that i hardly noticed anyway. I tend to do that. Haha. Well, after that it was ICT. Mrs Williams Oh. Great. I'd heard many things about her (all bad) from Henry and Sarah and so was dreading the lesson slightly. Well, it actually went ok. She put me next to Suki :D, and then went on randomly for ages about how people make too many errors and it's never the computer's fault (i'm sure at one point she started going on about how it would be better if humans were taken out of the equation altogether, because they just mess things up, and computers should seize control and one day even take over the word, or was i just imagining it/reading her thoughts? Hmm...), and about making Tom jump over a computer and out of the window. I think she's lost it. Already. Well, then we were assigned our computers (she actually has a computer plan, as well as a seating plan... urgh, organised teachers are scary), and got put randomly next to James, despite everyone else being put in alphabetical order. Hmm... Well, my computer wouldn't sign me in. I think this may have had something to do with me typing my username or password in wrong, but i really could not be bothered to try and figure it out and just went to complain to Mrs Williams, thinking i'd get moved next to Suki and everyone since there was a spare computer over there. Well, i wasn't. She moved me instead over next to Rob and Usman. Well, they kept going on about how fast i was typing and kept saying things such as "sick guy", which freaked me out slightly. But they were actually really nice to me, which was pretty surprising. I think that may have had something to do with the fact that i was the only one who knew what we were meant to do and was willing to help them. Hehe. Well, then it was lunch. I went straight to the form room, where everyone else eventually came. So we set off on our usual walk around the school. Sophie and i freaked Ellis out by stroking her hair (her hair is really nice...) and then randomly hugging her. We then went down to sit on the hill, where Sophie took my shoe, i took hers, and then we had a massive fight. Lol, it was the funniest thing ever. And it was about 10 mins at least before i got it back. I demonstrated, quite nicely, my "gangster" walk, apparently, which i don't think the world was ready to see. That is why you should never take my shoe. We then (when i eventually managed to get my shoe back) went behind the new A block. Sophie and i played our air particle sports. Haha, i think she won. We then went slightly strange and floated away on the air particles (or rather, went down to the toilets), until we eventually returned, and talked about weddings whilst trying to lift ellis up. Hmmm... Well, then last lesson was english. We all sat down and decided who was going to talk about each bit. I don't think it went that well. I'm really worried about this now. Then it was walking home, which was very cool.
Tuesday 19th. Well, first lesson was... English. Oh great. I'm still not completely sure this whole "teach an hour lesson to the class about a poem you were only given last week with people you hardly know" thing is such a good idea. I doubt if i'll change my mind. Well, it turns out we have one lesson left (yay...), and so we had to figure out who's doing what and when we're going to do it all and how we're going to do it all... Urgh, it's just all so complicated. Well, i think we eventually got it sorted out. I volunteered to do the presentation and write up what everyone has to do at home... Well, then it was ICT. Yet again i have to walk all the way there, from D block. Completely unfair. Everyone's usually already sat down and waiting... :(. The lesson was, quite simply, unbearably boring. Luckily break made up for it by being amazing. Oh yeah. Next was chemistry. It was only barely possible to stay awake, until, quite surprisingly, he actually asked us to do something fun. We got to do an experiment! Finally :-o. But it went completely wrong. First of all, Vin and i didn't know what equipment to get. When that was finally sorted, it took us about a further 10 mins to figure out who was going to light the bunsen burner. Not me. No way. So then we were heating the stuff for ages. Nothing really happened. 10 minutes passed. Nothing continued to happen. Oh, and then a daddy long legs blew in through the window and came dangerously close to the bunsen burner. We got quite scared. Hmmm... Well, we eventually decided that maybe something had happened while we weren't looking, and began to try and get the tray of limestone of the thingy (ok, yeah, i hardly know what any of the equipment is actually called and i'm in yr 10... That's worrying, right?). We tried numerous methods, until they all failed and the limestone managed to pour absolutely everywhere. Complete disaster. We couldn't stop laughing though. It has to be one of the best science lessons ever. Well, then it was french. Vin and i were talking about Russell Brand and Mitchell and Webb. Haha. After that it was lunch. Can't really remember that much of it, but i'm pretty sure it was good. Then it was mentoring, which went alright. And then physics... Hmmm... Argh, and i just went onto my other blog post (the one before this that i am still writing now... haha, that makes no sense) and it was completely blank. You don't know how scared i was. Well, i went off it and then back on again, and it was all fine... I really don't think this blogging website likes me. Oh, and does anyone else think that "The last Kiss" looks absolutely incredible?! First of all: Zach Braff (i now am actually addicted to Scrubs... i guess it's replaced 24)!! Second of all: Rachel Bilson (yeah, i actually like her now, despite her getting Adam Brody... grr). And, third of all: There is a Snow Patrol song in the trailer. Oh yes. You can't get better than that.
Wednesday 20th. Oh no. Had yet another strange dream: I was walking round the village, in my pjs... And it started to rain (really heavily, just for me, of course). And then suddenly i was at somewhere that looked strangely like school, but at the same time not like school at all... And i had a dream (in my dream) that Matt Lally was there, and he had a pic of my parents. I then bumped into Nikki (once i'd woken up, in my dream), who'd had the same dream as me, and so we were trying to figure out what it all meant... Is it just me or is that soo confusing?! Ok, yeah, so after that i woke up (properly this time), feeling really ill (and kind of disturbed, actually), and also absolutely exhausted. Great. All that was going through my head was "please don't let miss pick us first in english to do the presentation... please don't let miss pick us first in english to do the presentation...". Well, i'll get to that in a min (although you can probably guess what happened...). Well, yes, first lesson was french. It has to be, apart from ICT, one of the most boring lessons this year. But we were in C4 (which is actually quite cool) and we just played games for a whole lesson. I beat myself at pairs :D. And my tiredness kind of rubbed off on Vin, which was pretty funny (sorry, though, hehe). Next was English. Well, english is meant to be my favourite subject (apart from art, of course) - it's meant to be the subject i love and look forward to and want to do forever. But it's not right now, and that's really annoying me. I shouldn't be dreading it. But i am. Hmmm... Well, yeah, guess who she picked first to do their presentation? On the day that i feel/look the worst i've felt/looked in asbolutely ages and have no energy whatsoever, who does she pick first? Go on, just guess... Yeah, us. It had to be, didn't it? Just had to be. And loads of things had to go wrong, also. I gave everyone the sheets of what we were all doing, and in what order. That went ok. But we then had the problem of the computer. We were using a laptop, meaning that i couldn't use my floppy disk. Argh. So miss gave me her memory stick, and said i should run down to the library quickly and save it on that instead. Hmph, complications. So yes, i ran down to the library and every single computer was taken. Just my luck. And also Miss Baton was the teacher. Also just my luck. So i was just like "umm, could i possibly use one of the computers just quickly... we're doing this presentation thing and ummm... yeah..." (at this point i kind of trailed off due to the overwhelmingly evil/annoyed expression that came over Miss Baton's face). "Are you suggesting that i make one of my class log off their computer?!" This, of course, was asked in a tone of utter disgust. "Umm... well... they wouldn't actually need to log off..." i feebly answered, only to face an expression of confusion now rather than one of annoyance. Luckily one of the year 11 girls in the background got what i meant and said i could quickly use hers :D. So i saved it, whilst listening to many quite accurate impressions of Miss Baton (which she really does deserve - sometimes i really like her, and sometimes i just don't). I then ran back out, almost completely forgot what i was doing and walked past our classroom, then finally made it inside and got the presentation working (which we hardly used/anyone hardly noticed anyway). Ah well. The actual teaching the lesson bit went well. No stuttering, no feeling even slightly nervous, no caring if i made any mistakes... it went surprisingly fine. Yay, finally, some good luck :D. Although i think i said the least, and will be getting quite a bad mark. You couldn't really say much about my section, and the class pretty much summed it up anyway. I don't think i did that well, as far as the oral contribution goes, but now i know i can do it (i wasn't nervous or uncomfortable or anything... I think i may actually have enjoyed it. Yeah, i'm officially freaked out), and next time i'm determined to do better! Yay. Well, then it was break. I saw Nikki for the first time in asbolutely ages (or what felt like it) and just mainly talked to her. It was then media studies, which is always interesing, and extremely funny, as i now sit next to Sophie. We were just laughing and messing about loads. I'm pretty sure we did absolutely no work. Next was science. I managed to, worryingly not for the first time today, completely forget what i was doing/where i was doing. I ended up at A8, wondering where on earth my class were. Ah, wait, my timetable said A7, didn't it? Yeah... So i walked down there, and luckily wasn't too late... I really need to pay more attention to things in general. The lesson was extremely confusing (it was chemistry), as per usual. Vin said she wanted to be a shark, and that ended up being the topic of conversation for the rest of the lesson. Haha. Next was lunch. I was so tired so i pretty much did nothing. Yay. We talked to our gay viking friend though. Hehe, he's funny. And he actually thinks we really believe he's a gay viking! But he did confess that he had a longboat in his back garden... Last lesson was PSHE, most of which i spent day-dreaming and paying no attention at all.
Thursday 21st. Completely exhausted, yet again. First was maths... fractions today. Great... And then, at the end, just casually, as if it was a daily occurance, she asked us to WRITE AN ESSAY for homework. AN ESSAY! About if you think maths is important, and why you think it is. :-o. Everyone was saying it was going to be a pretty short essay: "Ermm... No.". Ha! No way can she expect us to do that. English and maths weren't made to be mixed: science and maths maybe, but not english and maths. It's just unnatural. It makes no sense. Urgh. And isn't it wasiting time anyway? Shouldn't we be learning some cold hard facts and working out equations instead of expressing our opinions and writing ESSAYS?!! I simply cannot believe it! Well, after maths, it was ICT. And i was right. Before every single ICT lesson i have, i'm in D block. Meaning i can be expected to be lectured every lesson for being late (ok, i'm exaggerating, he doesn't even notice/mind when i walk in 5 mins after the rest of the class did), and walk into a room of complete silence where everyone stares at you (ok, ok, maybe that only happened in the first lesson...). But anyway, i still don't like it. And the lesson didn't really improve either: yet again, we were copying from text books. He just gets to play on his computer all lesson (or whatever he's doing up there - i bet he's just playing solitaire or something...). Well, then i walked up to L block with Suki, who was complaining about having to go to the library for his homework, since he didn't do it (tut tut). Ah, it brings back good memories (talking about the library, that is) *stares into the distance...*. Well, anyway, after talking to Nikki (finally), it was time for media. And our first test. Already. We had to take in adverts and describe every little detail about them. I chose an advert for Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. It went ok, up to the point where i found out almost everyone had written at least one more page than me. Oops. Oh well. Next was science. And i was actually early this time :-o. Wow. And guess what we were doing? Yeah "the female menstrual cycle". Yay. But it has to have been one of the funniest lessons ever. You could tell sir was just loving the oppurtunity to make loads of sexist jokes, and was thoroughly making the most of it. Haha. Well, after that it was lunch. We went on our usual walk around the school to see our gay viking friend. He told us he had a long boat. In his garden. In the swimming pool. He also has an army of warriors who are all men (and are probably also gay), and he finally gave us his number (which Sophie almost lost, hehe). Well, we carried on talking to him for a while, and i got away with him not knowing my name, yet again. And he also thought Rose and Ellis were sisters because they "have the same nose". Hmmm... Then Mrs Johnson turned up, and we went over to talk to her about teacher's ages and hot english teachers (although that topic was started, of course, by Sophie. Haha). We then walked around the school for a bit, and the gay viking walked round with us for a while, and began to tell us this story of when he was wrestling his (male) friend. Interesting, yet he never did get to the end of it... Well, we then ran down to L block, where i saw Redd. Perfect oppurtunity to say more than one word to him. Ha! Here we go. Well, i managed 42 before he went off to do chairs. We drew. And i got his art folder (so i really did win, didn't i?). Next we just went down to L block, and Sophie tried to ignore Ellis once more. I know she won't be able to keep it up for much longer. I know she loves Ellis really :D. Aww, but who doesn't? Next was assembly. Oliver was going on about me and Hamzah smoking weed, and Bobby being the dealer. Haha, ermm... yeah right. After assmebly it was PE. Me and Ash and a lot of popular girls. Hmmm... Well, we were making our way up to the netball courts, sort of trailing behind the rest of them, when Miss Poulton approaches us. First impression: "Ewww". Second impression: "Oh great, what does she want?!". It turns out she wanted us to teach the class two games. Great. I could just imagine it. Me standing in front of a lot of popular girls (some of which are ok, actually), trying to explain "chase the chicken" and getting in return a lot of blank looks and "i don't understand"s. Yeah, it pretty much happened just like that. But Miss Poulton had to confuse the matter futher by completely ignoring what it said on the card and telling everyone they weren't actually in teams and that i'd got it wrong, despite the fact that on the card it clearly stated that you should "split the class into two equal TEAMS", "give the two TEAMS different coloured bibs", and that "the TEAM with the most bibs at the end wins". Yeah, it seems she can't read. That doesn't surprise me (haha, i'm so evil). Well, then we actually started playing the game. She pretty much took over. And next was Ash's game. The one where you have to run around and getting into groups of how many she says at random times. I, luckily, managed to only get a forfit once, and i got to do it with two other people, so that went alright. Then was netball. Oh no. Their game, their rules. So i was keeping one eye on Miss Poulton, one eye on the ball, one eye on the opposition, and one eye on my team so i could avoid getting elbowed in the face. The one moment where the ball was thrown to me (which i really was not expecting), and i completely failed to catch it, was probably the moment at which i realised that i don't in fact have four eyes, and it is completely impossible to concentrate on four or more things at one time, without having to go through a lot of pain in the process. So i was just like "ouch..." and "i wish i actually had four eyes...", while everyone was just like "oooh", except for Bess, of course, who had to make the obvious comment of: "you're meant to catch it, you know". Oh yeah. Haha *rolls eyes*. She really annoys me. It could have been a whole lot worse though. I could have done something way more embarassing in front of people that i do actually mind if they think i'm a complete foool. And it was actually very funny. Well, then Ash and i had to carry all the footballs back down (great) and then we went to get dressed. It was way too hot. I mean, what's with the weather recently? So unpredictable. Well, then i went and met up with everyone and walked most of the way home with Henry :D :D (haha, aww, he's so amazing), and Elliot, who just makes me laugh. I then went home (sorry i couldn't stay... yet again), watched scrubs (lol), and finally got a chance to sleep. Oooh.
Friday 22nd. The worst day of school this year so far. Wow. Haha, and it wasn't even that bad. Well, here we go. It started off with yet another dream. Really, what's with me?! I dreamt we were all in town (all meaning the sort of people i usually go into town with), and we were all sitting in this grassy area that appeared out of no-where. We were just relaxing when this guy came out of no-where, with these two rather large tents and offered us all these black helmets with flames on them. Once we'd all taken one, he invited us into the tents, where there was loads and loads of food! Oooh. But then Henry came in and started being evil to me for no reason then went off with Vin and Redd... So strange. Anyway, back to my actual day. First was science. Ok, wait, let me re-phrase: First was physics. I still haven't got used to this whole "triple science" thing. Well, we did a mini-test. I got 10/13. Not too bad. The rest of the lesson was slightly boring. And we found out that we have to do atomic structure in physics as well. Great. Next was art :D :D :D. Oh yes. I brought in my amazing dice (yes Redd, i finally have my own - and they have my name on :-o) to draw :D. It was very cool. Well, then it was break, which was very boring. Indeed. Next: PSHE. Mr Jenkins going on a lot about incest (eww), abortions and Hollyoaks. Eventually we were allowed to go on the computers. Until mine completely broke down, that is. First it was the mouse. Ok. Mr Jenkins came over to try and sort it out, and, in the process, managed to also break the keyboard. Haha. Then the thing wouldn't even shut down. Emily and i couldn't work out what was wrong with it. Obviously all technology just has something against me. Haha, i'm like Neil. Ooooh. Why is he no-one's favourite?! Anyway... After that, and not having to do work for the rest of the lesson (yeah, something good did come out of it), i walked down to D block with Emily and Vicky where i had maths. Ohhh :(. Essay writing. So we were just settling down, getting use to the thought of having to spend a whole hour thinking about the importance of maths, when the fire bell unexpectedly interupted our thoughts! Am i being lucky today or what?! Well, we all have to go down onto the field, which is always funny. Sophie was looking for a certain english teacher... Vin was looking for a certain sixth former. Hehe. So we stayed out there for a while, as per usual, and found that Jasmine's in trouble (and may possibly get excluded) for making racist comments. She really needs to watch what she says. Then, back up to maths. I just researched all lesson. And Gurdeep kept being his usual extremely annoying self, and asked missed if he could write his essay in "mathematical form" using numbers to express his opinions rather than words. Yeah... Well, next was lunch. It was raining. Mmm. We went to see our friend, the gay viking. It turns out he was lying about the longboat. Very disappointing. After that we walked round for a while and ended up back with Ellis and Henry, up near L block. We went in to see all the yr7s. Aww. Some are actually not evil :-o. Most are though. Shoes were thrown at us. Hmph. Well, then Mr Ryde turned up (urgh, he makes me nervous) and we all quickly escaped. Apart from Kirsty, who realised too late... :(. Poor Kirsty. Next it was form time. And Ash didn't get to be the council rep thingy :(. She should have been! Last was media. Sophie and i went a bit mad and randomly laughed at everything. I think i may have tried to eat her pen, and then i drew a viking and me with unstraightened hair (just to clarify, Rose. Hehe). Well, the lesson, apart from that, was kind of rubbish. I was in a bit - ok, a lot - of a bad mood. It was just one of those days when you're so bored of life, even though just a few days before you were probably the happiest you've been for absolutely ages :(. Well, then it was recycling. I ran up to see Henry, as always, but this time with Vin, :D:D. Awww. Well, then we headed over to B block. And i managed to read Vin's mind, not for the first time. Haha, it's so funny when that happens with us. We finished quite quickly, so we sat around for ages and talked, and then Jess and Ellis came over and joined in :D. Very cool. Might possibly have been the best part of my day, which it often is. Friday is usually rubbish. I then went home, watched Extras (David Bowie, Ash - the song was so funny!!! Lol, "sky dish"), then "That Mitchell and Webb Look". Absolutely hilarious. You have to watch it if you get the chance. You could watch David Mitchell all day. I then watrched Scrubs - funny as usual - then turned over to watch a bit of High School Musical, since everyone has been talking about it. Why did evertyone fail to mention that Zac Efron's in it?! He's so cool. Well, yes, i may watch the rest of it tomorrow.
Saturday 23rd. Went into town. When we finally got there i realised that i actually didn't need anything and had no idea why i'd come. Why on earth do i keep doing that? I confuse myself. Well, we walked around for a while, and had a conversation about the difference between "patting" and "petting". Is there one? I don't know. I then went home, only to face vast amounts of homework :(. There really can be no point in giving us so much.
Sunday 24th. Did nothing really... Watched Reunion though. Has anyone else seen any episodes of it yet? It is really good...
Monday 25th. Aww. Well, first was science. Wait, no it wasn't, it was french. I really do have no idea what i'm talking about. Well, yes, french. Very boring. The only good part was sitting next to Vin, and not sitting next to Vishal! Then it was science. There we go. Biology, actually, which is always fun. Then double art! It was fun, and really quiet, as always. So after that had finished i walked down the the form room. And having art before lunch meant that i had to wait around for ages for everyone to arrive. So i just talked to Leon and everyone, until Sophie walked in and completely knocked Harry over who was standing behind the door! Hahaha!!! I'm sure that's not the first time that's happened. Lunch was pretty good, and maths was uneventful, as always. Hmm. Then walking home. It ended up being, for quite a while, just Henry, Rose and me. Well, we were walking through the village when Rose saw Sage's initials. She went: "It's a sign!". And i was like: "Yeah, it is a sign actually." (because it was...), which she found rather funny.
Tuesday 26th. Oooh. Well, all i really remember was everyone getting really worked up about D of E (we'd heard quite a lot of rumours about what had happened to the rest of the groups, and none of them were good) and missing Sophie an awful lot. I hope she gets better soon! Well, in the evening i was left on my own in the house (Sarah had taken everyone - everyone apart from me, hmph - out to the Silver Award ceremony thing for D of E), and was very scared indeed. My first thought was to do some of my art homework in the kitchen. So i ran downstairs, doing my usual closing-all-doors thing as i passed (don't ask), and eventually made it, feeling triumphant that no monsters or really scary girls with long black hair that spend their time crawling out of TVs had been lurking in the darkness and had decided that i looked like i'd be rather fun to eat. So i went to turn on the lights, which was probably the sanest action i'd performed in about 10mins, and the annoying thing didn't work. Argh. So i ran back upstairs, annoyed the climax of my exciting adventure had so iritatingly been ruined, and played my music as loud as possible instead. Well, later, when everyone returned, my dad managed to fix the lights. So we were all sitting in the kitchen, listening to my dad telling us a rather amusing story about someone at work. Just as he was about to get to the end of his joke, the kitchen light turned off by itself, and we were left sitting, rather scared, in the darkness.
Wednesday 27th. I can't actually remember it. So i'm just going to go ahead and completely ignore it.
Thursday 28th. Inset day! Yay. So The builders came round once more. They were doing the windows today, which always means that it's going to rain. Ha, and it did. So i just sat in the conservatory painting for ages, having bits of old window fall from the sky all around me. It was actually pretty funny. And i'm sure they've all created a completely new language, because half the time you simply have no idea what they mean. I heard one of them shout from his ladder "Oi, mate, i've dropped the key down the right side of the connie." Hahaha, what on earth? So someone came round to search for it for ages, and i don't think he even realised that i was there. Ahh. So i did more painting, made myself my amazing sandwich (i will go into more detail on the subject of sandwiches maybe at a later date), texted Niki a lot, and was so annoyed that we were both completely bored and i couldn't go out to meet her :(. Well, the window guys eventually finished and cleaned up, at which point i was already ready and out the door, going up to Henry's :D. So he wasn't at the church when i got there, so i faced my utter dislike of phoning people and just went ahead and phoned him :D. And then he came like a minute later, so there probably wasn't much point but oh well :). So we walked up to his house, and played cards in his surprisingly tidy room. Well, cards was rather confusing. We were playing with (what i previously thought of as) my amazing pirates of the caribbean cards. They turned out to be really weird though, and there were two numbers on each card for no reason at all. And i kept putting down the 5 instead of the 6, which i shall blame on the annoying cards rather than my lack of ability in maths... Well, then we just talked for ages and he showed me his art work from last year. Aww. Hehe, fish. Then he walked me home :D. And that was it. Pretty amazing. I think i just spend the rest of the day smiling...
Friday 29th. The worst day, lessons-wise, that i think i have ever had. PE. Triple science. ICT. Could it actually get any worse? No. Well, it could, i guess - you could be stuck in a whole class of popular girls, on your own, since your friend is unfortunately ill :(. But we'll get onto that.... Anyway, it started with my usual walk to school. A lot of worrying was done, as it usually is. For me it was PE, of course, and for Vin it was a speech she had to do in front of the class, with no notes or anything. Complete nightmare. But, knowing Vin, i knew she'd do amazingly. And she did. Ha! "Well done Vin". Hehe, yes. Well, anyway, ermm... first lesson was PE. Yeah. Well, i talked to Rose for a while on the way down there etc, and talking to her is always fun so that was cool. And then the lesson actually started, which wasn't so cool. I was forced to just trail along after the rest of them, looking like a complete loner. I think that i'd prefer that to actually talking to any of them though (haha, just kidding... Wow, that was mean). Anyway, i tried to talk to one, but completely failed. So i thought i'd go for the whole being really quiet and shy thing and completely ignore them all. Hehe, that worked. It's funny to just watch them though... Anyway, we, once again, were forced to play netball. Urgh. And guess who i had to mark? Yep, Bess. The queen of netball. And i had to mark her. I could so tell that i was facing a lesson of unbearable pain, and complete humiliation. Well, ok, maybe not complete humiliation (this time, at least), but certainly pain - she stood on my foot :-o and scratched me quite a few times! But i guess that was what only could be expected. Haha, so we carried on playing for a while. Bess complained a lot: "Do we have to play like we're five year olds?!" (lol), and then she finally switched places with Katherine Matthews, which, although being a lot quiter, and involving a lot less pain (for me at least - i managed to stand on her foot instead...), it was utterly confusing. First Mrs Poulton shouted "Catherine - get over there", which lead to both of us running in the wrong direction (and which was also what lead to me standing on her foot, i'm pretty sure). She then tried "Catherine M, go mark her", which also had its flaws. She didn't seem to notice that we both had surnames beginning with M. Right... Didn't she think that maybe it would have been an awful lot simpler if she just called me Cathy?! Hmmm... Well, anyway, the game continued. I actually managed to block the ball a few times, and loads of people actually passed it to me :-o. Yay. Haha, and then the funniest thing ever happened. Ohhh, i'm still laughing now. Well, yes, someone was wearing a padded bra, and the padding sort of fell out! Ha! So embarassing for whoever's it was! And everyone could not stop laughing. Well, it could only have been 1 of 4 people's, since there were only 4 people playing down that end. And one of them was Miss Poulton. Ewww. I won't tell you the others. Haha!!! Honestly. Anyway, the lesson finally ended. Finally. I subtly listened in to some of their conversations (i'm getting good at it now :D, hehe). Not that interesting. Well, next lesson, after talking to Rose a bit more, was chemisty. Urgh. Not a great lesson to follow a whole hour of getting elbowed and scratched. So it was all confusing, and i managed to not pay attention for almost a full 20mins. I think he may have noticed though. So then we had to do yet another experiment. Yay... And Vin and i yet again had no idea what to do. A lot of screaming therefore entailed, but we eventually managed to turn something silver, which was apparently what was meant to happen. Oh, and i also walked into a table. I really don't know what's wrong with me. Haha, well, i doo... Ok, stop smiling Cat and move on... (yet again, talking to myself *sighs*). Anyway, then Mr Gosal tried to explain the displacement reaction (or this may have been before the experiment, my memory also seems to be going a little strange), by giving Sheffy a £5 note, and asking everyone if gurdeep could get it off him. I think he was trying to demonstrate that Sheffy was "more reactive" than gurdeep, and therefore always ended up with the fiver. But absolutely no-one got it, Gurdeep was quite insulted, and he ended up just confusing everyone. It was absolutely hilarious though. Well, next was break. It started raining. Kirsty was avoiding what i shall call the main L block area (i.e where everyone actually hangs out), to stop an uncontrollable fit of laughter (for reasons i shall not write). So instead, we hung around the other side of L block, all huddled under Rose's umbrella. Haha. So Kirsty and i talked about That Mitchell and Webb Look (since she now watches it), which is always going to be funny. Then Tasha came, with her brother (aww, he's so cute), so i talked to her for a bit :D. I then had to go to my next lesson of science (which was physics). Ohhh *falls asleep*. Well, that, quite surprisingly, was also extremely funny. We actually saw Jo Spence lick her elbow. So freaky. Then Dennis demonstrated his weird double-jointedness. Ewww. Well, then Mr Lill was going on about atomic structure and radio activity etc again. And he kept pretending he was picking up atoms. Good acting. So funny! Everyone was wondering what on earth's wrong with him though. Anyway, then biology. That was actually probably one of the worst lessons for once. We had to give our opinions on IVF, so it wasn't as fun as usual. Next was lunch. We stood around outside A block for ages, although eventually decided that moving up nearer to L block would be a much better idea after a lot of things got thrown at us and the guys down there just generally went mad. So we talked about dreams and stuff, until Caleb showed up (Alex Riley's amazingly cool younger brother, who is in my yr7 form!), and he tried to wiggle his ears and we all tried on his glasses! :D. Well, it was then form time. We had to do yet another quiz. Urgh. And this time we split into groups to do it instead, just so the whole class could get involved in the "fun"... The tie-breaker question this time was biscuit names for each letter of the alphabet. We ended up getting completely stuck though and writing down that there's such a thing as a "unicorn" biscuit. Hmmm... Well, then it was ICT. Boring as usual. More note taking, and he even added a test in at the end. I got 13/13 which was more out of luck than anything else i think. Then recycling. Always the best part of a friday :D. Lots of complaining about everything, and getting all those little annoying things off your chest than no-one else would understand. Vin has to be one of the best people to talk to about absolutely anything.
3 completely unrelated really freaky incidents:
Guy in my RE class (yeah, i don't know his name...) steals my ruler, sees the name Cathy, and goes "Ohhh, are you Cathy Mitchell?" I was just like "uh, yeah... i am". And then he just smiled at me. Weird, or what?
The next day, Greg comes up to me at lunch (although i have absolutely never talked to him before in my life, for good reasons), stops me, and asks if my name is Katie. When i say no, he asks if it's Cathy. I say yes. He hugs me... Hmmmm...
Yesterday i received an email, and it was completely blank. And i'm not just talking about it saying nothing, i'm talking about it not being from anyone, and it not being to anyone. I mean, is that even possible? I receieved a blank email that wasn't even sent to me, and that wasn't sent from anyone. Can anyone provide an explanation for me how on earth that happened?
Satuday 30th. I went into town and met up with Henry, Kirsty and Suki. We were also meant to meet up with Elliot, but after waiting for absolutely ages and him not showing, we decided to leave and went straight into a toy shop. Kirsty and i went mad with all the Spiderman stuff, and it was rather funny. We then went in loads of other shops, and finally met up with Elliot, who told Kirsty that he hated her, and me and henry that we should burn in hell. Hmmm... He shouldn't really have been late then, should he? Well, i left a while after that. And we also saw Sophie in Haze with her other friends. She didn't really say hi to us though... Well, i then watched QI and That Mitchell and Webb Look. Haha. And then met Henry again in the evening, where we talked, and just got generally freaked out at how dark it was and how there was practically no-one about (and how, actually, the only people that were about owned dogs and seemed to think it was the best idea to walk them right now, in the dark...)
Sunday 1st. Watched Out of Practise. So funny. And then town again. Oh yeah. Well, after i'd talked to Kirsty briefly yesterday about skirts/dresses i felt as if it was about time i wore mine, since summer's coming to an end (or already came to an end when i wasn't paying attention) and i hadn't actually gotten round to wearing it. So i just went for it. Purple shirt/Pink diamond jumper/pin-stripe waistcoat/black skirt/diamond long socks/my "platforms". Haha, what a fashion statement. And is it just me, or do you ever feel as if you have a different walk depending on what shoes/trousers/skirt you're wearing? Hmm... ok, maybe it's just me then. But my walk's so funny when i wear a skirt and trainers together. Sort of a Jack Sparrow style stride. Haha. Ok, so we walked around for a while, and laughed at the ridiculously short skirts that are now supposedly "in". Urgh, you have to be kidding. And we went on our usual trip down to Haze, and talked to Sarah Elley for a while, which was cool since i haven't seen her in ages. Oh, and then it started raining (it just had to, didn't it? The two days this year that i've worn my skirt it's been freezing and wet. Typical). So, after running around for a while looking rather ridiculous, we returned home, only for the alarm to go off for no reason, and to keep going off for no reason for over half an hour. Do you know how much that makes your head hurt? My ears are actually still ringing now. It eventually stopped, also for no reason, and then the kitchen light randomly went again. And i'm pretty sure something exploded. Great. Well, after dinner i finally got started on some D of E preparation, but ended up slumped on my bed for half an hour until i realised that i still had loads of homework to do for tomorrow and that lying around wasn't going to help anyone. After doing my chemistry hw, which, of course, since it was set by Mr Gosal, was ridiculously hard and actually completely impossible, i watched Reunion. Aaron in the programme, or Dave Annable in real life, reminds me sooo much of Adam Brody that it's unreal. Anyway, it's good. More of you should watch it.
Monday 2nd. Almost perfect. Yes, almost :(. Well, first lesson was biology, and we finally moved on :D. We're now doing obesity, and Mr Cunningham went on for ages about how he has no sympathy for fat people. Haha. And then we worked out our BMIs, and Vin's, Jess's and Mine's were all average! Yay, go us! Well, then it was physics - boring. In fact, the rest of the day was pretty boring. I won't go into it. Walking home was complete rubbish, it has to be said. I don't want to go into it. And then i just watched the best clip off Mitchell and Webb (the coverage of people buying a house and then living in it), and that instantly cheered me up. It's amazing how just watching something on the internet can make you smile straight away, when all your "best friends" can't.
Tuesday 3rd. Can't remember it, and are therefore missing it out.
Wednesday 4th. First was french, which was alright. I was more attention to the completely deserted scene outside than to Mrs Williams. It was, to be fair, a lot more interesting. And not annoyingly high-pitched. Well, then it was english. We got our marks back for the presentations. I got a B, although i'd been expecting worse since i didn't really say much... But i know i can do better next time *smiles optimistically*. Well, after break it was mine and Sophie's media presentation, on the amazing Russell Brand :D. It went rather well, although everyone was pretty curious as to who, after the description of Russell Brand, had written "and he's pretty hot". Hmm... It definitely wasn't Sophie and me. Hehe. Anyway, then it was science. We complained a lot. Then lunch, where we went to the library and just generally messed about. Last was PSHE, and vicky wasn't there. It was a lot quieter without her there, but Mr Jenkins spent nearly the whole lesson talking anyway, so i guess it didn't make that much of a difference. Then it was the d of e meeting, which i didn't think was going to last for that long. So i'd told Henry to wait. And it actually went on for about half an hour. Oops. Well, i walked home with Elliot instead, who had for some reason stayed, and it was very cool indeed. I really should talk to him more often.
Thursday 5th. All i remember is spending lunch walking around with ellis. We'd gone to the staff room for some reason or another, and all i remember really was us waiting there for absolutely ages. They really need a doorbell or something on that thing.
Friday 6th. Argggh, walk tomorrow!!! Noooo! Well, yes, i still have a whole day of lessons to face... Urgh. Well, first was physics. Great. It was actually pretty funny... Just a lot of complaining/worrying done by Vin and me, as per usual. And Superman is sooo not camp! Anyway, next was art. Miss Tate... *Shivers*. Well, she actually managed to find the pic i was copying, so i guess she can't be that bad. After break (and a whole lot of rain) it was PSHE. We were doing about transplants and all we did all lesson was play games on the computer. One of the best lessons ever. Then it was maths in D7, and Vin and i went a little weird. I said something about D of E and Vin just randomly went "no...". It was the funniest thing ever. I think you did have to be there though. Well, then it was lunch. I spent most of it with Nikki, talking about stuff and telling Dennis that we didn't really think he was gay. Hmph, Jade. Oh, and did i mention that Rose left her hoodie at Jade's house and then Jade wore it to school and said she'd bought one?! I mean, who does that?!!! Well, then it was form time which was kind of rubbish. Kirsty was trying to get my art work out of my folder and in the process manged to rip off some of the pictures and letters... Great. Then it was media. Sophie and i spent all lesson getting pics of Russell Brand. I didn't even know Sophie and Rose liked him... Well, then, after school, we had to pick up our D of E stuff. That was funny. But slightly scary. The bags are soo big! Arggh.
Saturday 7th. D of E. Argh. Well, we all met at school really early. To be at school at a time like that, on a saturday, can never mean anything good. Well, we got our pics taken, complained a lot, said bye to our parents, then got onto the mini buses. And i managed to get stuck in front with Miss Seago and Miss Poulton (which is probably a good thing since i always feel sick on buses, but which i will complain about anyway), which was alright as soon as Miss Poulton had stopped asking me about my sister, and they had both stopped talking about the "good old days" and how school used to be, which, incidentally, was when the bus ride ended. Well, we all got sorted and stuff and then started off, the last group to leave. This random guy said it was because we were the elite group or something, and because we were obviously the best. We didn't believe for a minute but, nonetheless, the name "squad elite" stuck with us. Well, we set off after talking to the guy for a little while, and him instantly realising my fear of cows, and then him running after the guy's group because they'd gone the wrong way. About five mins in, when the teachers were out of sight, was our first rest. Haha. We played with people's phones and stuff, and then set off again. I walked with Ellis for a little while, discussing how the hobits managed to do this all with bare feet, and then accidently getting stuck in a gate together. We continued, and i began to discuss Limassol was Vin. What is Limassol? Who knows. Well, after stopping at this little village for a while, we carried on with the never ending walking, until about 5 minutes later when we went the wrong way. Oops. Well, the guy, who had been following us, presented us with a piece of grass and asked us to find where we were. No-one had a clue. It turns out, actually looking at the map really helps. Well, we figured out the right way, then instantly ran into this small playground we found. Haha. Ash and Vin ran straight to fight for one of those springy things, which ended in Ash falling over. Lol, it was soo funny. When we realised that the teacher's van was driving past the field, we decided to just run for it, almost leaving Ash behind. Oops. Well, it was around that time i think we began to call the annoying guy with the grass Lawrence. Lucy came up with it, i think. It rather suited him. Haha. Well, we continued for a while, got completely and utterly lost and ended up in a field full of sheep. Hahaha. Ash went a bit crazy and kept chasing after them all. Slightly scary really. Well, yeah, we carried on and then ended up in these rather scary woods. Argh. Well, we sere stanmding around, having yet another rest, when we heard voices from above in the treest and, suddenly, the two sixth formers emerged from nowhere. Urgh. Well, they were trying to cheer us up and everything (yeah, like that'd work), but Kirsty wouldn't smile so one of them got rather annoyed and kept making really rubbish jokes. Haha, it was kind of funny. After a long long long long long long long long long long long long long way, we ended up getting very lost but then managed to end up at the campsite (and were the last ones to arrive). Oh yes. Our first task was to put up the tents. We completely failed. I think the teachers did most of the work for us. We then had to cook. Ah. And we hadn't actually really paid much attention on the day they taught us about it. We were talking about guys, if i remember correctly. Yeah. Well, we did alright with the pasts (apart from dropping a lot of it on the floor) but didn't have enough time for desert. Argh. Oh well. So we then brushed our teeth etc, and Vin and i laughed for ages at her trying to do a sign for "rubber duck" while her toothbrush was still in her mouth. It was the funniest thing ever. We then went over to our tent (someone had messed up and brought a two-man tent for Kirsty Vin and i instead of a three-man one. Well, it was certainly cosy) and got in. Hmm. Well, Ash, Lucy, Ellis and Rose were all running around playing games with everyone else. We didn't really get involved/were too lazy to move, until Ellis dived into our tent, with no explanation. We only understood when Ash explained they were playing a game of hide and seek. Haha. Well, we then just ate sweets for absolutely ages. OOoh, foamy fruits. One of few things that make me hyper (the other main one was Vin, so it was quite a funny night). Well, we laughed, and thought there were a lot of clowns surrounding our tent. Someone then fell onto it, and slid off, leaving a massive red stain. We were rather scared. Well, after talking more for ages, we eventually got to sleep. Ah, finally.
Squad Elite, walking off into the distance at the beginning of the walk, not knowing what we were getting into:
All of the rest of my group looking rather happy at the beginning of the walk:
Squad Elite, on one of the rare moments we actually used the maps:
Ash Leading there, and Vin and me hiding behind my map wayyy in the background:
A picture we later called "teamwork" (Lucy surging on ahead, with the rest of us struggling to climb over the wall. Yes, that is teamwork for you):
Sunday 8th. The next morning
we woke up to cold winds and even more cooking. Our porridge went horribly wrong, so we were left with just hot chocolate for breakfast :D. Hot hot chocolate. Well, we got going straight away, and i started talking to Ellis again. She called a sheep sexy, and then went on to exclaim that it was "capachico time". Yeah. Lol. After her hyperness had gone, we talked about Rob Brydon and Ben Miller and Mitchell and Webb. Ooooh. Well, yes, we continued, and we spent most of our time wondering whether or not the other groups were going to catch up with us. Rather stressful. We eventually came to a field in which the only way out was a locked gate, crowded around which were a load of cows. Argh, no way. We eventually climbed over a fence (which i'm sure we really weren't meant to do),which lead to Ash ripping her trousers, but at least to us going sort of the right way. After that, Ash and i had a discussion on famous people we like, as always. We tried to combine the best features of all the guys we liked, but i liked i just ended up with all of adam brody. Hehe. Well, we then came to a bit of a problem. We'd come to a field, that we had been assured was the right one. However, the only way out was down, which seemed pretty steep. Well, we tried it anyway, slipping most of the way down and getting stuck at the bottom realising there was no way out. We were about to panic when the guys appeared at the top, shouting that the teachers had told us to go the wrong way and saying we should just try to climb it. Harder than it sounds. It has to be the most difficult thing, physically, that i've ever done. And, i must say, without Rose definitely wouldn't have managed it. She helped me up and kept talking to me and cheering me up as much as possible. When we finally got to the top, i really felt like crying. But didn't. We rested, until the teachers came, apologised and said we could end there since that was probably the hardest thing any bronze group has ever done.So we sat around, ate food and then eventually returned to the place where we had to clean everything. Once that was done, we sat around eating biscuits until Lawrence called us in to evaluate what we'd done. Argh. we all had to go around saying nice things about each other, it was amazing. The best way we could have ended it (although he later wrote in my book that i had a super smile that cheered everyone up, and i'm pretty sure no-one said that. Urgh.). We drove back to school, and watched Ash and Miss Seago having a dance off. Haha. Funniest thing ever. I then went home, had a shower, and finally sat down. Sooo. Nice. And, as a surprise for doing the bronze walk, my mum had bought me Mitchell and Webb tickets! Argh :D:D:D. Sitting down with no massive bag, and having Mitchell and Webb tickets. Life doesn't get better than this.Monday 9th. Arghhh, pain. More pain... Argggh. Well, it started off with form time where everyone was talking about d of e loads and we were filling Sophie in on everything that happened. It was hilarious. First lesson was french, and Catherine also told us she was in a lot of pain. Argh. Then science. All we really did to be completely honest is complain. Fun :D. Then it was break, which was rather weird. Redd had shouted me, so i was about to go over when Mr Nichols stopped me (he was doing his usual telling-everyone-to-pick-up-litter thing) and asked me how the walk went. I just told him a load of stuff about team work and how i got through it because of my friends etc. I don't think i was actually entirely in control of what i was saying. After double art :D, it was lunch, where the discussion on d of e continued. And then the singing began. Ash and Ellis tried this thing where you had to sing everything all lunch. Hilarious. And i don't think they could actually stop. Then Sophie went strangely quiet and eventually just wallked off with Rose, leaving Kirsty and i to run after Luke (the 6th former) and then to listen to a whole lot more of Ash and Ellis's singing :D. Last was maths. Nothing really happened.
Tuesday 10th. Oooh. Ouch. Ouch. Ok. Hmmm... Well, it started with english, which i was dreading, as per usual. But it actually turned out to be really fun. We're now doing stereotypes (media coursework) and we had this long discussion on Little Britain and "metrosexuals". So funny. Well, then it was ICT. I was late. Again. Hmph. The lesson went soo slowly, and all we really did was listen to Mr Downward go on about databases and fields and "gigo". Oooh, interesting... Next it was break, and Suki gave me the job of helping him hand out invitations, which was very cool :D. I had absolutely no idea who to invite though, so i think i pretty much ended up giving one to everyone. Well, almost everyone... Hehe. Well, next was maths. Very boring indeed. I did like miss's hair though... Well, then it was media :D. Sophie and i took about 5 mins just to get seated, due to us unexpectedly having to see the interactive whiteboard and us choosing the most awkward seats in the class. So we looked at some pictures... Pictures of guns... more guns... a gun on a table... a label... a gun on some wood... someone holding a gun... a gun and a label, on wood... A gun on velvet (oooh, velvet)... and finally a nun looking very disturbed. Well,we had to come up with stories about the pictures, and mine and Sophie's was so funny. Something about murder, and the mafia... Well, after that it was lunch :D. We went off down to b block where everyone was (as per usual). Ellis then mentioned that going to find Mrs Beighton would be a good idea, since she needed to find out what exactly she'd be doing for the media open evening. So we wandered round, and took a detour into the hall, to talk to Mrs Bucknell about props we might possibly borrow :D. Oooh. So we went under the stage and tried on costumes, until Rose and Sophie started having a pillow fight and Ellis and i ran for cover to the library. Haha, nice choice of hiding place. Then it was our form's interform (our year 7 form, that is). I didn't really get the rules exactly - i was mainly just talking to Redd about Mitchell and Webb and avoiding getting hit by the ball (which Redd helped with a number of times). Then last was PSHE. I'm sure i was actually asleep for some of it. Then walking home very quick, which was good. And then open evening. Oooooooh. One of the best evenings ever. It started with Rose, Ellis, Sophie and i watching videos that old yr10s and 11s had made. James Peake was in all of them. Haha, he makes me laugh. Sopihe, Lauren and i then tried out this green screen thing, where you can take video or pics with you standing in front of it and you can change the background to whatever you want. We put ourselves first in front of some fish, and then Sophie tried to put her picture next to Sawyer's. Haha. Sophie and i then grabbed a camera and ran around the school videoing stuff. It was the funniest thing ever. The teachers all just got really annoyed at us, and we asked randomly people what they though of the school and they'd just stare down the camera without saying anything. So awkward. We also bumped into Mrs Parnham, who volunteered to do a dance for us with Mrs Holden (we quickly ran in the opposite direction), and then Mr Nichols. It was one of the funnest evenings ever, although we never did get to edit that film...
Wednesday 11th. All i really remember is going in at lunch to watch Rose and Ellis's video! Lol!
Thursday 12th. Don't remember it. Argh.
Friday 13th. Oh. Well... It started with PE, where we just wrote stuff down and looked at equipment and talked etc. After that it was chemistry. Boring as usual. And he did this experiment with crude oil. It made what had to be the worst thing i've ever smelt. Absolutely disgusting. Bess, of course, had to make a massive deal about it, which was so funny! Well, then it was break and i met up with Ash so we could go and find ot if we could help out with a dance class in school for our sports award! And she said we could not only help out but we could have our own club! Arggh, but i can't actually dance! This is going to be so funny. Well, probably for everyone but me. Anyway, after then talking to Rose and Henry for a while, it was physics. Slightly boring (although Tm Willmott made me laugh...), and the biology, where we had to do more work that usual. Urgh. We spent lunch in a room in D block planning our d of e presentation. Lucy and i had discussed it on the way home yesterday and decided that doing a slide on each person would be a good way to go about it, so we went with that and went round everyone saying everything that they helped with :D. It was so nice. And it was one of those times where i feel like i have the most amazing friends in the world. I love those times. Well, we just laughed pretty much non-stop for a whole hour, until we had to leave. Aww. Well, Rose and Sophie just walked off somewhere, and didn't come back even though they were meant to be in assembly with us (but they got scared of Mrs Hancock i think, which is understandable). Well, we just went and sat at the front and waited for the year 7s to come in. I tried to cheer Vin up slightly but it didn't really work :(. The assembly was funny though. The nurse came in and got pretty much the same reception that the yr10s gave her. You could see that no-one was really listening. Yeah, so all we did was sit at the front, and that was it. And we waved to our form, alhough Jean-Luc and Kirsty we just giving each other evil looks. Them two are so funny together. And Kirsty is so amazing with younger kids. I really think she should do something like that for a job one day. Anyway... then last lesson was ICT. It was alright, although i wasn't completely "there", if you get what i mean. Lot of stuff on my mind, yet again. Well, then lesson went slowly by and then finally ended, a which point i instantly ran out the door and down to meet Vin. We waited around near the Sports Hall for a while, just to see if anyone would happen. It did. Whyyy?!!! So then i went up to see Henery, but he wasn't there. He usually waited until 25 to as well. But Kirsty said she'd seen him go straight away. Oh... Well, then we had a very long discussion abouts guys for the whole of recycling and sat on the steps outside the top of B block for ages, remembering the good times when things weren't as complicated as they are now. It turns out Friday 13th is unlucky.
Saturday 14th. Today was, quite simply, awful. -{I should just add in here that if i complained about you, i'm sorry. I'm so stressed right now it's unbelievable. I don't meant to offend anyone. Oh, and i'm still going through my "being annoyed at every little thing and not caring who knows it" stage. It's starting to get on my nerves but then again, i guess, what isn't?}- Well, we went into town to started off with (my mum and i). I bought the last book in A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Well, so then we were in Marks and Spencers, and i was all stressed and annoyed since i thought the only time i didn't have to organise one of these cinema things would be the only time i didn't have organise one of these cinema things. But i was completely wrong. URRGGGHHH. Well, Niki texted me. She couldn't get a lift. I offered to give her one, if she sent me her address. She did. It was fine. Then she phoned me. She hadn't got Suki a card. She asked me to buy one. So, despite the car park running out in a matter of minutes, we had to run into the nearest card shop to find one. And there were absolutely no cards that would even have been suitable (yeah, it was a really rubbish card shop, i'm not exaggerating). And then, just as i was about to lose all hope, my mum remembered that she had a spare card at home. Phew. So we ran back to the car and went home. We then got home, and i had barely enough time to make myself a cheese, tomato and salad cream sandwich and to rumage through my wardrobe for an outfit i could wear. During this time, i got phonecalls from Tom, saying that loads of people were already at the cinema, that the showing we were going to go and see was cancelled, and asking what on earth they should all do (argh, i don't know), and then from Henry, asking what time he should get there. I mean, it Suki's birthday, he's not even at the cinema yet and everyone's phoning me to know what to do. Ohhh. I then finally found an ok outfit, and got my dad to tie my tie for me, which was pretty funny since he hasn't yet learnt to tie one forwards. I then had to kneel on the floor to wrap up his present. We then found Niki's house on the map, and set off. Ok, phew, things can't get worse. Relax, relax, come on... Well, then we got there. Niki was out the front of her house (thank you!), so we didn't have to search for which one it was. She then came over, and was kind of not being that nice. She kept looking me up and down and then said "Oh, you dressed up". I was just like... oh... ok.... thanks. Then she had to write the card. Good job i brought a pen... Then we were talking for a while. She was complaining about Tom. And then she suddenly came out with that she'd bought my shoes on holiday. Or my "platforms". Hmph. So i was just trying to calm down, and trying to stop the question "why on earth did i not stay home and do homework instead????" from going through my head. Maybe it will get better. Hopefully it will get better. Well, ermm... it didn't. Everyone had no idea what to do. Everyone had no idea what film to see. Hmmm... So we stood around for a while, and i talked to Kirsty, which always makes me smile/makes me feel better. And we licked our tickets :D. Well, then the next bad thing happened. Niki wanted a drink but didn't want to go and buy one... So then Suki and Luke came over (:D, they are two of the nicest guys, really) and said that it'd be cheaper if we went to the shop across the road. So we went up there, only to stop at the extremely busy road for ages. Niki pointed out constantly that we should cross at the crossing, and that there was a crossing down there, and that maybe we should use it to cross, but seemed to think that that was all going to happen while she was standing still. So i said i was going to stay here, because i didn't want to run across the road, and i thought that if she wanted a drink she'd go get one. She didn't. She started asking why we'd gone up there in the first place. Because you wanted a drink? We then sat down for a while, and Niki kept saying she wanted Tom to die... And then i managed to get my foot stuck on the step. Ohhh :(. Clumsiness does not help bad moods, at all. Then we went back into the cinema, and various people took me to one side to talk about stuff, which i always find really funny (in a good way, of course). We then got to go into the cinema to watch the film, finally :D. And it was pretty good. Pretty funny. I still don't like Adam Sandler at all though. Yes, well, then we left. And Elliot did something very good indeed :D. Or what i hope is very good indeed. When most people had then left, i stayed talking to Niki and then to Elliot for quite a while, until it got to quarter to 6 and i realised that i had to somehow manage to walk home in 15 mins. Argh. Fortunately, Elliot kindly offered me and Henry and lift though :D. So they dropped us off in the village (his mum's really nice) and Henry walked me home :D. Well, then i just went on msn for ages in the evening and complained to Redd. He's so easy to complain to. Thank you. I really needed that.
Sunday 15th. Did nothing. Hmm.
Monday 16th. I just really remember lunch, in which we went to the library. Well, Niki picked up this relationship book and started reading quotes about marriage etc. We then got onto rather disturbing topics... After that we randomly started opening the dictionary at any page and pointing to a word, and making names from it. Yeah, i know, we're weird. Mine turned out to be Pork-Pie Exhausted... We then just talked for ages and ages while Rose and Sophie sat in the background looking at rather rude books... After last lesson, i stayed behind after school for ages with everyone to try and load the pics. It didn't work. Again. So then we left, and Kirsty and i talked for a while until Rose and Sophie returned from getting Rose's bass. And, although we'd waited ages for them and Henry had left because we'd taken so long, they didn't actually walk with us, or talk to us at all. Hmmm... So it was just me and Kirsty, which was very very cool since we haven't had a long deep chat in ages. And this particular one was about guys. I will say no more.Tuesday 17th was stressful, to say the least... Well, it was my mum's birthday, as many of you know :D. And my nana's, of course. She got a book and the 3 first seasons of 24 since my whole family's just completely obsessed with it, and Sarah and i are still yet to see them. Well, then my day started with form time. We had Mr Turner, and he's soo funny. Ash went "Is your name Mr Turner" and he said yes, and then she went "Oooh, that's Lucy's last name tooo!". And he said something about her being his daughter but that she couldn't tell anyone and then went "shh!". So funny. I think you had to be there... Anyway, after talking to Lucy for a little while, it was time for english. And we got our essays back, and had to assess each other's! Arggh!! Well, she was going on about how most people in the class would get a D etc, and that was shouldn't be too disappointed, and i ended up getting an A-! I was completely shocked, but i think it had more to do with compostion etc than content, and i bet Jen got an A too. Probably an A* knowing her :D. Well, then we marked each others and just talked for the rest of the lesson. Some people i just don't get. I don't even know if i want to get them. Then it was ICT, which wasn't really interesting. Then break, followed by science and then french: none of which were particularly interesting either. Then it was lunch, which was alright but i think Kirsty was kind of upset. Rose and Sophie were going round having a competition to see who could hug the most guys today... I just stayed with Henry :D:D and talked to Ash etc, until Liz asked if she could be my bf, and so did Tash and i got rather freaked out. Then it was the worst mentoring thing ever. And i can't even talk about it to anyone but Redd and Vin. Argh. I was so upset though. Kids can be so unfair. Well, last was physics. We were doing space and time, or something like that, so Vin and i got into one of our really deep conversations (that i find really funny) yet again. I was explaining to her why Terminator couldn't actually work, if time machines could in fact exist, and she was explaining to me that there isn't such thing as the past, and there isn't such thing as the future. Freaky stuff. Then we got into parallel universes and Hamzah started listening in... Ok, then it was walking home, which was alright. Could have been better really.
Wednesday 18th. Not so different to Tuesday really. Started with form time, where Rose was trying to dislocate her finger to get out of PE (ewww), and where Sophie talked to me properly for the first time this week :-o. She was just talking to me about media homework though... Well, yes, then it was first lesson - french. Urgh. Well, we didn't know where we were, which inevitably lead to a lot of confused wandering about E Block with Tom Wynne just generally complaining, until a minute later we discovered that we were actually in E2. Hm. A lot more complaining, and i mean A LOT, was done until we discovered that we have a test coming up. Just great. We spent the rest of the lesson (after finding out that rather annoying fact) talking rather than preparing for the writing part of it. And, of course, doing a lot more complaining. We really are getting good at it. Hehe. Next it was english, and we're starting to watch the film we're doing our coursework on. Mr and Mrs Smith. Not too bad i guess. Mrs Parnham was taking the lesson though, meaning that it took about half an hour just to get the electronic whiteboard to work. So funny. Ashley and Alex volunteered to act it out if it wouldn't work though. Haha. Forunately it did though, and we just watched that for the rest of the lesson. Oooh, Adam Brody. Well, then it was break and we went into D25 to load the pics for d of e. After everyone had left, it was just Rose, Ash and me and we couldn't stop laughing. Oh, and Rose got a detention just for saying "jungle book". Hehe, what is the world coming to? Well, then it was media. And we were doing presentations. Argh. Well, our went well, except that we started laughing half way through, i forgot to actually refer to my notes, and we wrote that he was hot on the poster... Hmmm... i think we got quite a low mark. Ah well. Then it was chemistry. Really really really boring. Equations and alkanes?! Urgh, no thanks. After that it was lunch, which was rather fun. We just finished off our presentation, although it managed to delete itself 5 mins before lunch ended so we had to start all over again. Computers can be so annoying. Then it was PSHE and we started on our assessments. I mean, why do we even have to do an assessment in PSHE and RE? It's just more pressure on us. Well, i wrote non-stop for a full half an hour, until Vicky needed help annoying that guy behind us (forgotten his name - i'm terrible... He sits next to Richard, if that helps anyone...), and we wrote "I love Forrest" all over his pencil case in red ink. You should have seen his face! Oh, and then sir told us about the pencil and the year 7 (i'd heard the story the day before because he'd told my sis). Basically, this yr 7 boy's "friend" help a pencil up right on his chair until he sat down, and it went quite a long way into his leg. Absolutely disgusting. The boy's ok though. Then it was our d of e presentation. Argh. Well, after finally finding out where we were meant to be, we watched the guy's group first (the one with Jack and James in it etc), which was rather funny. We then did ours. It went quite well, although my slide had completely messed itself up. Argh, had to happen to mine didn't it? Haha, well, it still was cool. We all just laughed most of the way through it. I then got picked up to go home, and stopped off in the village for my chocolate raisons. Mmmm. And we passed Henry, so we must have missed him by like a minute. Argh.
Thursday 19th. Even more annoying than Wednesday, despite me not having a million meetings for once. First lesson was maths. Urgh. But we had Mrs Pass, who, despite claiming that she had a seating plan, let us sit where we want. Hmm.. So we spent most of the lesson talking. Vin and i were still on the subject that we were discussing in physics yesterday... It's all just so freaky. I then walked to ICT with Vin and Jess, and we talked about murder... Yeah. ICT was slighlty boring, but also pretty funny for once. I think i was laughing more than usual for no reason though. And Suki, Matt and Sandeep are rather cool. Well, then it was break. I went and talked to Niki for a while until she saw Tasha and just ran off, at which point i decided to just go and talk to Sophie instead, until someone came over and annoyed us and we left in anger (well, more in annoyance really), to go to media. Media was cool. People finished off their presentations and then we watched A Day At The Races, which made me laugh. But, as Sophie said, we do seem to find almost everything funny. It was then biology. We were in E2, and we had Mrs Pass, yet again. We spent half the lesson talking and doing a mix and match, and most of the rest waititng for Tom and Bess to figure out how to make the sound on the computer work so we could watch a video on the electronic whiteboard. Hehe, it was so funny. And we did hardly any work :D. Then it was lunch. Hmmm... We started off by going to craft club then library. We were talking about famous people we liked again (with Ash and me, that always seems to come up), which ended in Ash and Niki fighting over David Tennant and licking his face in a book... Well, then we just laughed at strange books for ages, until we left and i talked to Niki for a while, although she seemed slightly unhappy. I could probably guess why. Then we went and met up with Sophie and Ellis again, both of which also seemed pretty depressed. Oh. Well, then it was assembly. Something about comparing strictly come dancing to GCSEs? I'm glad i wasn't listening. I was just getting annoyed at someone instead. I really need to stop doing that. Last lesson was PE with Ash, which always promises to be fun. We got all our books and had to write in them (which took most of the lesson, since Mrs Poulton had to spell words such as "school" and "Littleover" for those who didn't know how to spell them - which was more people than you might think). After we'd finally finished that, Ash and i decided to just randomly go and run round the school. We went up to D block, after lying really badly to Mr Ryde that we were doing orienteering, him asking if we were lost, and then him commenting that we'd probably do better if we actually had a map. Anyway, we tried to look for Lucy in her classroom but couldn't see her anyway. We got a few more weird looks off teachers etc before we decided it would probably be a good idea to go back to the Sports Hall. So we did. We then got ready and talked for about 5 mins about a certain someone. It's so sad. Then walking home. I was completely dreading it. And it turned out i was right to. Everyone, yet again, just seemed really depressed for absolutely no reason. It has got to be one of the worst walking homes ever experienced by me. Really. What's with people? Anyway, then i got home and attempted to pack... Urgh, and then i went online. And i really shouldn't have. People who think they know more than you when they obviously don't, really annoy me. Wow, that sounded pretty arrogant on my side. I didn't mean it like that... I mean i hate when people think they know more about something than you do, when you're obviously going to know more about the subject - like people who are convinced you said something you didn't, when obviously you're going to know more about what you just said than they do (just as an example). Does that get one anyone else's nerves? And loads of people do it now - so many that i even find myself doing it just to annoy them back. Which leads to a viscious circle of annoyance and arrogance that can never be broken. Ohh. Today was just too depressing. Anyway, yes, then it was this yr11s award thing, which was hilarious. My dad had to give out awards, and my sis (along with everyone else) was receiving hers. So i was given the job of working the camera, and my mum and i just couldn't stop laughing. I think we went a bit hyper. People kept giving us strange looks. Hehe. Well, then the awards for each subject came (people who did the best in the year got an award for their grade and effort), and my sis won the chemistry one!! She gets a trophe and everything! Amazing!!!! Yes, well, that cheered me up a whole lot. And i managed to capture all of it on video. Go me. Then we returned home, and i completely avoiding packing to watch Mitchell and Webb instead. It had to be the best one ever. Ha "That's WordWang!".
Friday 20th. Started with physics. Yay... Well, we were doing stuff about telescopes and how they work (i think...) and we got into group and tested the affects of different lenses on light. I was with Jess, Vin and Suzanne, and it was sooo funny. Jess went a bit crazy. Vin was complaining a lot. Haha. One of the best lessons on that day i think. Well, then it was art. Also very good. We continued with our final designs, and Miss Rost came round to have a look. Tom's and Leanna's designs are so amazing though. Argh. Well, then it was break. I went down to B block to meet people and ended up walking round with Niki and Kirsty and being generally unhappy (not because of them, of course, because of something else...). Well, yes, then it was PSHE. We had to finish off those assessments. I ended up sitting next to Alex Riley since there were no other computeres free which was actually quite funny. He wasn't being as annoying as usual. After that it was maths. And this time it was my turn to complain. I'm not going to tell you what i was complaining about. I don't really even want to think about it :(. Well, then it was lunch. I hung in the form room with Rose and Kirsty for ages, until we came to the conclusion that Sophie and Ellis weren't coming and were probably off round the school together someone, and had just failed to mention that they wouldn't be meeting us... Yeah. Well, we walked around for ages and talked loads about people... Hehe. It's always good to know that you're not going mad and, in fact, other people did share the same opinions as you. Very interesting. Well, then we went up to the form room to do the quiz. It was quite easy (well, the end bit was), but i wasn't completely paying attention as someone was being very patronising and getting on (well, not just) my nerves. (That sentence did make sense btw, i just can't be bothered to go back and think of a better way of wording it). Anyway, then was media. I was just laughing with Rose the whole way there, since Sophie went a bit strange and then walked off. The lesson was pretty rubbish. We got more homework, and just typed up a lot of comdians' names for ages. Great fun. And then school was over for a week. Finally.
Well, that was my first term of yr 10. Hope you enjoyed it more than i did... Ermm... Leave me comments? Sorry this was a bit late btw. And also sorry about the loads of mistakes there inevitably are in there. I didn't bother checking it. My life can be unbearably boring, especially to live twice. Thanks for reading, i shall (at least attempt to) post soon. Oh, and the title of this post is a quote from the amazing Wayne's World 2. Haha, yeah. Good bye xXx
